Earswick
New Earswick part of Earswick was created by Joseph Rowntree in early 1900 after his son wrote a study entitled Poverty a study of town life. It was a sad reflection of life in York in those times and Joseph Rowntree took it upon himself to create a garden town – New Earswick to provide balanced living for the community with open spaces gardens for growing vegetables and fruit trees and all road verges had trees planted on them. New Earswick and Earswick are still a thriving community many with wood burning stoves or open fire places perfect for Logg firewood and logs.
Deliveries to the area from the Logg storage facility at Stamford Bridge are made on a regular basis.
